A Good Day.

Today I realized something. I’m teaching my students and while praying for them, I receive a revelation about something that has absolutely nothing to do with my job or anything other than having a “Good Day”

There is no such thing as a “Bad Day”. It is only as bad as you yourself wants it to be. I realized, it is easier to be depressed about something bad than to be joyful about it. Okay hear me out, I know this sounds crazy, but as an individual who has been through some ups and downs in my life like any other person out there, I believe we should be joyful in the downs. Happy in sorrow and thankful in disaster. Its not easy, this is true. Nevertheless, I believe God never intends for anybody to feel sorrowful, sad, broken, down…etc. So thus, if God does not intend these things, then it must be Satan who does. These past few days I have been feeling rather down and my past began to haunt me. But I realized, if I have been forgiven by God, what power does my past have against me? No power at all, that’s what it has. So I prayed and willfully made a choice to rejoice about what I was feeling. To rejoice that God has taught me something new, that I have moved to the next level of faith and that I have only good things for my future. In a break up, rejoice that now you know that it’s not working or that either one is unready or not mature enough. It’s better now, than to find out later on. When someone has passed away, rejoice that he/she is in a better place where there are no worries. When things don’t work out in a job or something, thank God that you now know something that doesn’t work out and you don’t have to try it again. With this kind of attitude, I believe that no amount of trial or pain could ever bring someone down. Even in a trial, be thankful and keep pressing on as a climb to the next level of maturity.

I’m not saying this is something that is easy to perform, but it is definitely going to grow your spirit more than getting depressed over something, and I really believe this may keep people alive a few extra years if they keep it up.
